Vent...rude people!!
I can't believe what just happened…I live in Boston and I take the bus to work. I NEVER sit in the handicapped/elderly seats unless there are no other seats available and when I do I am always careful to get up when someone gets on who needs the seats (I find most people pretend to read and not see these people get on!). Anyway, this morning, being like 30 months pregnant, I sat in one of those seats. There were 3 other young, healthy looking people sitting in the seats. So, this old woman gets on and COMES RIGHT UP TO ME and asks me to move. No one else got up! I just laughed and said "sure - I'm 9 months pregnant, but I guess no one else wants to get up." hey all just stared at me like I was nuts!! What is wrong with people???

I deal with rude people on the NYC subways everyday as well. I'm 32 weeks and when someone looks at me, there is no doubt that I am far along in my pregnancy. It amazes me that when I step on the train, all the people around me instantly "fall asleep" in their seats so that they don't have to get up!

It's awful how rude people are. I always get up on the subway/bus whereever for pregnant woman and elderly. IT's called respect! PEOPLE are SOOO SELFISH!!
I'm sorry you had to come in contact with that!

It's ridiculous how rude people can be. It got to the point near the end of my pregnancy where I avoided going out as much as possible, because I didn't want to deal with the rude people.
