Ugh, my sciatic nerve is killing me AGAIN...VENT
I'm just getting so annoyed because the heat/ice thing works for like ten minutes, then I'm in pain again. The doctor hasn't been much help in telling me I can and cannot do for it and I'm just getting frustrated

I had horrific back pain in my last months of my pregnancy... Unfortunately there was nothing really to do for it... I kept my legs elevated and I just took my time walking...
Once I gave birth the pain went away...

Rachel, my mom has this prob. She has prob tried every thing-but NOTHING helps.
She started taking this herbal pills for it and she says they started to work...
Ill find out the name for u if u want

Well, I spoke to my doctor again, and she basically told me there's not much I can do, but to only ice it, since heat might be making it hurt more. I've been icing it on and off all day, and I'm doing a little better. I'm just so annoyed. I have this problem about 5 times a year, but I have muscle relaxers and anti-inflamatories I take. Obviously that's not an option now, so I don't even know what to do
ETA: If you could find out what your mom takes, I would appreciate it! THANK YOU!

DO NOT take any herbals without asking your doctor first. Just because they're "natural", doesn't mean they're safe!!! Many of these products have been studied even less in pregnancy than FDA approved drugs. Also keep in mind that herbal remedies have not been approved by the FDA or anybody because the manufacturers haven't proven them to be safe or effective.
