Ovulation predictor tests

what cycle day do you start testing with Ovulation predictor tests? The instructions on the ones I bought say to start on cd12. I thought that might be late since i have no idea what day I O.

is there a way to use Ovulation predictor tests and charting together? I assume by the time your O date shows on your chart that it would be 2 late for the Ovulation predictor tests to show up positive.

how many ovulation predictor tests on average do you go through per month? i am trying to decide how many to order.

I would definitely suggest using both together. My cycles were so weird that I didn't O until day 25, and I had already gone through one pack of OPK's with all neg results! But because I charted I could tell when I actually O'd even though the OPK's didn't work for me.

I also never got a + on my OPK's yet I still ovulated....(got my BFP this week!)
