Questions to ask RE...appt at 3:00...update i'm back
What questions should I ask the RE today...I have some in mind, but want to see if I am missing anything..I

Q: What are the first steps you will take to determine and/or treat our specific fertility problem?
Q: Should I be charting my basal body temperature (BBT) each month?
Q: What are the different treatment options for fertility medications?
Q: Can you explain the difference between intrauterine insemination (IUI) and In-vitro Fertilization (IVF)?
Q: What are the costs of treatments and how much does my insurance cover?
Q: What are the side effects and risks of fertility drugs, including the chance of multiple births?
Q: When I am in treatment how often do I need to come to the office for appointments and can you be flexible to accommodate my work schedule?
Q: What are your pregnancy success rates?
Q: Can I do all the necessary testing and procedures in your office or will I have to go out to separate laboratories or hospitals?
Q: Is there someone I can call for questions at any time?

NO! Not stupid at all. I now have an IF notebook because its so much to remember!
Bring it that way you can write things down adn when you adn hubby or you are telling us later, you can remember exactly what he said. It's also good to write down questions in this notebook as they pop in your head! I fid at times when I get in there I forget what questions I had ready until after I leave. The notebook will help to make sure you always have all questions answered.

well, he suggested a Lap and a hysteroscapy bc he said there is scarring around both of my tubes..I am going to schedule one for mid august...this sux

I have had the lap done to remove my endo, and really the procedure itself isn't bad at ALL.. FM me if you have any questions

Hi girls...Actually this was my second opinion...I am scheduled to go into surgery on August 18...I am a little nervous, but I think this will really help...I am glad I started looking in to problems on my 5 month of ttc and that i didn't wait until the 1 year mark....

That is good that its a 2nd opinion and that you started seeing the RE this early on in TTC.
My friend had the lap done and she said it wasnt as bad as she thought it would be. She was a little slow to recover - about a week - but she told me not to be afraid of having it done.
