Have a Dr's appt. today..UPDATE

Ok so I saw Dr. Chu last Thurs. for that oh-so dreaded "did it work this month" appointment and of course BFN. I lost it in her office. I reminded her that this is my 6th IUI/Clomid cycle ( and I know you shouldn't be on it more than that) and she said she doesn't want to be more aggressive yet because I had success with an IUI/Clomid cycle once before (ended in m/c). She said she won't do this forever that eventually she would change my protocol. I never asked what that might be--out of fear. Dh wants me to ask today and I'm scared to know the answer. Ugh, why is life so hard.


UPDATE: Dr. Chu said if this IUI cycle doesn't work she will probably want to do one more and then it looks like injectables or IVF.

I know its hard... but you are strong and will get through this.

Colleen, it sounds like you want to move forward -- if it is any comfort to you, IVF has much greater success rates than IUI. It was like a relief for me, to move on to something that would give me greater possibilities and hope.

The good thing is, we have all of these advances available to us that women did not have 20 years ago. Of course W is trying to puch us back into the dark ages, but I won't get started on that...

Best of luck at your appt. and whatever they tell you, you will make the decision that is best for you and your DH.

I am so sorry!! I agree that you do need a different protocol. I pray that it is one that you are comfortable with!
