What to get "the new daddy"
My DH is soooooo difficult to shop for... He never tells you what he wants, and although he loves anything I give him, I always feel he wanted something else..
He really wants a dog...but its just not happening...
We bought eachother a new camera... so I just gotta buy him from the baby... (it dosent necessarily have to be daddy related) Everyday he tells me "I bought you another present.." and Ive gotten him NOTHING yet....
He always buys such awesome gifts, and I really wanna get him something he'll love...
any suggestions???

I got my husband a video game he wanted that he can do just for himself...
We didn't go crazy on Hannukah this year.

mabe like $200-300
He's into movies (but has like every dvd possible) He had this truck he built...so he was into like mechanical things... but he's talking about selling...so I dont wanna touch that area..
I was thinking of getting him an ipod (he's a mailman so I figured that would be nice while he's walking around outside..that and maybe some cologne...but what else...
Then I was thinking of going out to the outlets and seeing I can get him a nice movado..and engrave the back..
However...I bought him a nice fossil watch like 3 or 4 yrs ago...and he never wears thats... Im surprised he even wears his wedding band...
He is majorly into hockey...

Sidney is giving Daddy a photo album called Daddy's little girl with mostly pics of the 2 of them. I know you said you planned to spend $$ but this is a cheap alternative but very cute.

Is he handy around the house? Last year for DH b-day I got him a mitor saw which he wanted and loved, last christmas I bought him a craftsmans tool chest from Sears that he needed but he didnt even remember saying that he wanted (i had to really listen and remember things he said that he wanted) and I also bought him an ipod last yer which he loves since he travels by train everyday. This year I bought him a nail gun with an air comprossor and a shop vac. So maybe you can buy him some tools. But I think the IPOD is a great idea considering what he does. To personalize it more you can already set it up and put some of his favorite songs on their if you wanted. Or maybe hockey tickets that are some good seats and if you get him 2 tickets he can either take you or a friend. Hmm, maybe if you want to buy a few little things maybe something to wear under his uniform to keep him warm durning the cold months and some gloves, ear mufff things scarf (that could be from Ryan maybe). Hope I didnt babble to much. But men are so hard to shop for!

what about a package of hockey tickets...maybe not season, but several games that you could all go to as a family or he could use with friends for a guys night?

i dont know about big ticket items but these books make GREAT stocking stuffers. I got some for my DH to read to our son for Valentines Day as a new daddy (and they are inexpensive!):

since he loves hockey why not get him two tickets to a game that him and afriend can go to or a hockey jersey. If he has a place to hang them what about a hockey plaque that has his team on it
You can get him a gift certificate to best buy so he can get new dvd's.
An Idea that I did for my DH is that I took a picture of DH and marissa and I took it to this place called High tech I know certain picture people places do it and other photo places they take the picture and make it into a statue here is what it looks like I got this one from the picture people website
