Floor in the nursery
We are living in dhs house he grew up in. The nursery now has a "shaggy" blue carpet in it. We were going to have someone come in, rip it up and lay down linolieum (sp?)... DH pulled a corner of the carpet up and good news.. There is arleady an oak hardwood floor underneath Of course we will have it refinished, but so happy to save a little $$

That is awesome! What a great find! I wish we could pull up the carpet, but we rent.

Re: Floor in the nursery
we pulled up the carpet but werent so lucky, we placed laminate ,Wilson Art- I HATE rugs and the dust and mites that stay there even after you vacuum.

Re: Floor in the nursery
Sounds like you lucked out. We are ripping up carpet and putting down a laminate/Pergo floor.

Re: Floor in the nursery
The same thing happened with us. We were going to put pergo down but after lifting up carpet and 2 layers of vinyl flooring there was a beautiful hardwood floor!
It's a great feeling!!!
