low sperm count

hello there...

does anyone know anything about low sperm count, i.e. - how low is considered "low" and does that mean you CAN'T get pregnant or just that it may take longer? do you know if it's something that can be fixed with some kind of drug?

I am waiting for test results and kind of freaking out...TIA

It really depends on the count, the motility and the morphology. Most times its not impossible but will certainly pose a great deal of difficulties.

the count is low but the other aspects (motility, etc) are normal
may also be an infection because white blood cell count was high
I am so upset about this...all this time hoping every month when it was probably impossible

Alexa...before you get upset and worked up about the tests...Please ask to have a second test run. I don't want to get your hopes up but A LOT effects one round of tests.

thanks...I assume when we go to the urologist he will run a second test, or we will ask for one...and as silly as this sounds, I'm also hoping DH does have an infection or something (high white cell count was found (that affected the test)
