I am thinking about starting a private practice

I am a licensed clinical social worker and I am thinking about starting a private practice. Any advice?

I am a LCSW abnd have a private practice, it is great $ and I love making my own hrs, i specialize in trauma, bereavement and pre/post pregnancy issues. I have my own office (rent is a killer ) butti is a nice diversion from working with the highly psychotic population that is at the hosptial where I work. Most of my clietele is about 25 years old and it is really refreshing.

p.s- the forst thing you need to do is decide if you will be accepting insurance, and if so you need to do lots of paperwork to get on the panels. I dont accept ins because treatment plans are a horror and I think are an injustice to the client's confidentiality, so i refuse.

have a great referral base....go to a drs office or something and see if they will refer you out.

Maybe some friends of yours can distribute your name
