New here and have a few questions
Hi! I have been here for about a month or so but never posted. I was reading up on ttc and learning from all of you. So thank you already for all your knowledgable support and answers. This month's cycle I started taking my temp. every morning and doing an opk test. Now here is my question, on Tuesday (my 17th day of my cycle) I took an opk test and I got the smiley face!! Now, my temp was the same that day and wednesday (97.7) then on thursday (today-19th day of cycle) my temp shot up to 98.1! I think the directions say that when it shoots up that is when you were ovulating within that 24 hour time period. But the opk said I was oing on the day before. I even did the opk test on Wednesday also and it said I was not ovulating. I am confused was I ovulating on my 17th cycle day or the 19th? I hope I did not confuse anyone else!! I thank you if anyone can help me figure this out!!

Your temp rises after you O to indicate you O'd. Your OPK will be positive 24-36 hours ( about) before O....Your timing sounds good.

I thought I O'd on the 17th day? I did an opk test on the 18th cd and it had no surge. Now I am confused...should I have bded with dh on the day it says I was oing or the day after when it says I was not? Now I am wondering if we missed it!! Thanks for all your help, hopefully I will figure this out!!

Once you get the smiley face...ovulation will happen anywhere in the next 12-36 hours. Once your temp rises, that means you already o'd and probably missed your window..but it never hurts to get a last ditch effort in.
