health insurance...confused
Me and DH are on the same health ins. My mom had told me that when the baby is born we just add the baby bc it is already a family plan. she said on family plans you can have 10 kids and its the same pice as having 3 kids...is this true?

Yup...actually for oxford if i put my DH on our plan it became family and is the same amount no matter how many kids i add.

depends on your insurance and the way your employeer has it set up.
We have many options:
self
self +spouse
self+1 child
family

Are you sure you have a family plan not just 2 adult plan? It seems like a family plan (before having the acutal family) would be much more expensive.

Not with MDNY. When we added the kids we had to move from the policy holder & spouce plan to a family plan. With that we can add the kids at no extra fee.

Aetna. It's the company's policy (the amt. they make us pay) that's crappy.

I have vytra and I am thinking along the same lines as what you are saying. thats why i wasnt in agreement with my mother.
