BTDT moms...any tips on flying?
I will be doing some flying in the very near future. Any tips for me?
When I made my reservations online, the bulk-head seats were already taken....think they will give me one when I check-in if I ask and bump someone else? Also..what about security...is it ok to walk through the x-ray machine?

How old is baby? I took Alex on a flight to Florida when she was 6 months old and she did really well. One word of caution - do NOT pre-board! They allow parents of small children to pre-board to make it easier but it ends up being HELL, especially if the flight is delayed and you end up sitting on the runway. That was the only time Alex fussed. Otherwise, I gave her a bottle on take off and landing to ease the pressure on her ears, and she slept the entire flight. I never asked for bulkhead and I didn't order an extra seat, but the flight was mostly empty so we were given our own row... we walked through the x-rays - I didn't even think of it as being a problem!

make sure you pack enough diapers/wipes/snacks/formula/bm for the baby should there be any delays. If he/she has a blankie or beloved lovey, bring that along. when you made the reservation, did you mention that you were bringing a child with you? I would call and advise them, they may be able to help you.
As for the x-ray machine, do you mean the metal detectors? because the only things that go on the conveyor belt to go through the x-ray machine are your belongings (including stroller, bag(s), etc.) You will then carry your child through the metal detectors. It's usually pretty simple. Just def bring that stroller with you so you are not lugging everything around.
You'll be able to push the stroller right up to the door of the plane. When you land, one of the crew members will have your stroller opened and ready to go. All you'll have to do is put the baby in and go!

lmaoooooooooooo
Well in that case, I always got an aisle seat when I flew while I was pg. and I made sure to keep hydrated, I brought snacks on the plane and I got up every half our to stretch my legs out. (not that you'll have to worry about that because the whole overactive bladder thing will have you up every 15 minutes) lol
