Re: Bide-a-wee

is Bide-a-wee a vet office?? I would do it only at your vet office!

Neutering usually costs around $100-$200, along with other fees.

I go to the East Meadow animal hospital and I like them. They will give you a price over the phone I think.

Re: Bide-a-wee

I already use Bellmores animal hospital - they charge $150. That is where our vet is

Re: Bide-a-wee

It sounds like a decent price. To get Molly taken care of is going to cost about 250. I don't know what it would cost for the boys though.

Re: Bide-a-wee

Hey Scott,
Lots of vets accept the friends of animals certificate. My vet did. He's on Carmen ave in Westbury if you don't have a vet yet. I think you live in Levittown, I believe. The neutering cost $54 b/c of cetificate plus 20 for medication. There are other charities who do something similar as well. I'll try to look for it and edit my post.

Here's the link to Friends of Animals
http://www.friendsofanimals.org/programs/spay-neuter/index.html

ETA: Just looked up and remembered. muffins.org Male neuter is $52.00 but my vet didn't do this .
Link: http://www.muffins.org/

also ASPCA has low cost neuter/ spay vans. You have to call and make appt. I thibk suggested donation is $25.00

Everything is being FM'd to you.

Re: Bide-a-wee

I would only do it at a vet.

Bid a wee may charge less but its mostly because they are used to dealing with more of the homeless dog population and they arent going to give your dog IMO the 110% amount of care a VET can and will.

just my opinion.

to do the spay, it's more invasive- they have to open her up, etc.
boy's are easier.

Our vet said about $200 for Katie. I'd like to pay less but I'm terrified that these places that charge less wouldn't do as good of a job as our regular vet, plus she is already familiar with them. How old is Tiny?

Re: Bide-a-wee

Molly is getting spayed next week. I am so sad thinking about it. THey wanted to keep her there overnight but they don't have anyone on staff so I'm going to sign a release and pick her up. I hope she's ok!!

How have your dogs reacted after they got spayed?

My pup got spayed at 5 months and when we got her back she was fine, just really tired for a day or two. Molly will probably just want to sleep (and the vet says to keep her warm) for a few days, she'll be fine Chat Icon
