Progesterone Level

What is a normal progesterone level at 7dpo?

My levels today at 7dpo are 10.2....and I was told that it was normal, however, my lp is borderline short, ranging from 10-13days. I just wanted to confirm this.

Thanks!

Re: Progesterone Level

Progesterone is released in pulses. In other words, you can have your progesterone tested at 7 dpo at 9 am, it can be a 10, you can test later in the day and it can be a 8.

However, anything over 10 is considered normal for 7 dpo. Usually they do not give suppositories when your level is over 10. I have received them when mine was close to 9 though. Now I just ask for them and use them with every cycle.

You may want to inquire about B-complex vitamins or at least B6. The b vitamins are known to extend the LP.

Yes, Clomid, but I didn't think that would affect it.

Clomid can raise progesterone levels. In fact in a clomid cycle they usually like to see over 15 as a standard level.

Clomid also can make you ovulate from multiple follies. Therefore, you have several corpus luteums secreting progesterone.

However, a 54 is still really high. You can't go wrong with high levels of progesterone.

Each lab can measure differently though.

Are you sure you aren't in your second trimester of pregnancy Lauren ??? 54 is usually the level for second trimester :)
