Friend situation

My friend's BF is away in another country so she can't easily reach him so she has to wait for him to contact her. He didn't call her the 1st 3 days he was away. Finally he called her cell but she missed his call.

So that night she logged into AIM to await a possible IM from him while she did stuff in her room. Somehow she missed the IM when it first came in. She got to it a few minutes later and he asked her why she didn't reply sooner. She explained she was hanging pics on her wall or whatever. He said "well now I'm p!ssed because if talking to me was so important to you you would have been there to get my msg." Then he logged off and BLOCKED HER. Chat Icon

She is EXTREMELY upset. She feels SHE did something wrong. What would you tell this friend?

Re: Friend situation

i would just reassure her that she did nothing wrong.
and that if this guy thinks that she should be waiting around for him and his calls every second of the day...
he has another thing coming

I couldn't help myself and I told her how I honestly felt - that what he did was extremely childish.

i agree that was pretty childish, can she just explain what she was doing, and that she was sorry she missed the calls.

She did explain what she was doing and that's why he was p!ssed. Because she was doing something other than sitting on the edge of her seat waiting for an IM from him. The call happened while she was at work, so he understood that part at least.
