Naps
Nicholas is 3 months. At night he sleeps 9/10 hours so I can't complain but the story is different during the day.
He will only nap in my arms or in our bed with me by his side. The pediatrician told us that we should teach him how to sleep on his crib because right now he is creating his habits.
He doesn't want to sleep in the crib. I have been teaching him this week and I don't know what else to do. They told us to let him cry and walk away... I have tried that today and is just breaking my heart... and he has just slept in total 15 minutes. I took him out to breastfeed him and he fell asleep so I put him again in the crib, but now he is crying again.
Any advice is welcome. TIA

Re: Naps
I know that it's hard but you have to let him cry it out. Jared would only fall asleep in his bouncer or swing...if I tried to take him out and place him in his crib, he would scream. One day I just let him scream...and he screamed himself right to sleep. Now he knows...naptime=crib. I just make sure he's fed his breakfast and bottle so he doesn't nap on an empty stomach.

Re: Naps
For my daughter, three months seemed too young to leave her crying at naptime. She slept on me or in her swing until 4.5 months, at which point she seemed more ready and we switched to the crib for naps. I don't think you are creating habits yet, you need to do what feels right to you.

Re: Naps
Stefanie, how old was Jared when you let him cry? I'm thinking that maybe Nicholas is too young. I'm feeling horrible for leting him cry
