I was wondering when an office closes down, how they go about transfering people. Do they send them anywhere or ask where you want to go? (My office will be closing soon).

Well isn't Verizon trying to launch their Cable TV service in Long Island?
I am sure they will need employees for that.

does that have anything to do with this fiber optic project?
MY DH's biz is sub-contracting right now for verizon... can't ask him at the moment

I know my Aunt worked for Chase in Hicksville and they closed. She had a few choices to transfer but they were out of state. wasn't an option that worked for her. she got her severence(?) pay, etc..., and she is now working for cablevision.
