Baby shower...(repost from pregnancy)
When all of you mommies had your showers... how much was bought of your registry (and how big was your registry to begin with)
Was there ALOT of shopping left for you to do????

79 items
78 were purchased (jogging stroller wasen't purchased but no one wanted to TRUMP the travel system which my MIL was purchasing.)
We had everything but clothes on there since we figured people wanted to buy in what sizes they felt appropriate.
The only additional things I have needed/wanted was a bumbo and a Floppy seat.

I didn't have a huge registry I was an OOT mom, so I only registed for stuff we really need right away. Most people gave us gift cards bc they didn't was us to worry about transporting stuff from NY back to Chicago. Besides my mom and MIL purchased the important stuff like furniture, bedding & accessories, pack n play, co-sleeper, and travel system.
The only items from my registry that still need to buy is the convertible carseat and humidifier. The other stuff that's left is stuff like crib sheets, fleece sleepers, receiving and thermal blankets. And a lot of that stuff my mom ended up purchasing on her own after the shower.

A bumbo seat is a plastic seat that the baby sits in...it looks really comfy!

A seat my son loves.. He started using it around 2 months it kinda traps him in there and I can put it on the counter and he plays while I blow dry my hair.. Lets me have some handsfree time as well has keeps him from getting a flat head.. Image Attachment(s):

Mine was 79 items and 52 have been purchased. Most of what's left is small little toys and what not. I got almost all necessities except the breast pump and Britax car seat which I didn't expect to get and the baby tub.

I had a registry, but I didn't have a shower. Not a single thing was purchased  Neither my mother or my MIL informed relatives of our registry and we ended up with a bunch of stuff that we didn't want or need.
