Dining room "china" cabinet ideas
I am looking for a casual dining room set, either cherry or really dark wood or black. The problem is, we don't have china but want a china cabinet to match our table, but without the glass, because we want to use it for storage of not so pretty things. If anyone sees something like this without glass OR has an idea of how to modify one with glass (replace the glass with something?) that would be really helpful.

Maybe the clear glass could be replaced with stained glass? Don't know what that would cost, but depending on the design and color it may mask what's in there pretty well.
Or, if you are leaning towards a rustic/country look, you could get fabric and shirr it inside the door. That would look cute, but again, it's more of a country-ish look.
We got a dining table and chairs at Gothic Cabinet Craft- the top of the table and tops of the chairs is cherry and the rest is a cream.

Would you consider getting a buffet instead of a china cabinet? They have some pretty large ones that hold a lot of storage. And usually, when you buy a dining room set, you have the option of pieces to get along with the table...
Here's one I found on JCPenney's site...

Buffets are all the rage these days. Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrell never have china cabinets. I do want a china cabinet though!
