Another spinoff to engagement ring/wedding bands...

If you would change yours....post a picture of what you have now...and explain the changes you'd want to have done.

I have an antique-style eternity band e-ring...and a plain band--so I would change my wedding band to get one that matches my e-ring...which we said we'd do eventually anyway. Most likely we won't do it though until around our 10 year anniversary though bc I can't imagine us having the money for it anytime soon!

I would also like to upgrade my center stone and raise it a bit (when we first started looking I didn't like "high" settings but I think this would look better higher) eventually but want to make a new piece of jewlery out of the current stone because I know DH would be upset if we traded it in.

Lemme see if I can scrounge up some old pics of my e-ring...

Well, you know my answer on thie one Melissa! I was never really about having a diamond engagement ring. So I'd take this sapphire ring Jt bought me and have a wedding band made to match. I'll do it somedayChat Icon

Here's my e-ring/wedding band now.

And here's my other ring I would like to wear in it's place when I get a matching wedding band:

Thank you -- like I said -- the only change would be to upgrade the center stone since there is a carbon spot in it and it can look a bit yellow at times - and have it raised a bit since it's a very low setting. But on the other hand when you look at antique jewlery (mine isn't antique, DH had it custom made) the diamonds have flaws and that is part of the charm. I would love to pass this ring onto my daughter one day and have her pass it into her children.

Here are my rings, and its sad to say I hardly wear them anymore. I wear a fakie band because my real wedding band hasn't fit me since I got pregnant with my first back in 2003!! I think for my 5 year anniversary next May I will have it resized to fit me. I do miss wearing it.

My engagement ring is a family heirloom, it belonged to DH's great grandmother. So, NO I would not change it. I am not crazy about the 4 prong setting that makes everyone think its a square diamond, but its not, its a round one. So if I could change it, I would just put it in a setting that had 6 prongs.

Sorry its a c r a p p y picture, but you get the idea.
