I am going for my first IUI this cycle...(sorry just a little vent)

AF just showed and I was on clomid (50 mg days 3-7) and we tried naturally, so the dr said if this didnt work that next month (this cycle now) he would keep me on the clomid and do an IUI. I dont really know how I feel about this. I am a little depressed that I couldnt do this naturally and I just want to cry, I know I shouldnt feel this way but I do. The fact that I am turning 40 the end of this month doesnt help.

I was told there is a less likely chance to concieve while on clomid and TTC naturally then not even taking the clomid. The clomid is sopposed to make your cervical mucus almost impossible for sperm to get through..
I got pregnant with my 2nd from 1 round of clomid and an IUI.

Thank you that makes me feel a lot better. I just figured out that my IUI should be done eiither the day before the day of or the day after my b-day so maybe I will have b-day luck.

Don't be so hard on yourself. IUI isn't unnatural. It justs tries to put the swimmers where they belong.

Do what I did, I did the IUI and also BD. I used Preseed to help with the BDing. When you get your BFP, you wouldn't know whether it was the IUI or BDing that did the trick.
