Appointment Question
My DH is coming with me today for my 2nd visit. I know this is a stupid question, but does he come into the room when the doctor examines me? I want him to, but didn't want to ask if people don't normally do that.

Mine did for the sono part, but not for the internal exam. If you want him there they should have no problem with it.

Same for me. She did the exam first without DH there and then he came in for the sono.

Anytime my DH can make it to an appt, he comes in. My first sono was internal and he was there. He wanted to see the heartbeat too. I thought it was strange in the beginning, but let me say this..I am 8 mths now and am realizing how much will happen at labor and all my other doctors appts and you just get used to it...

DH has been with me for all appointments so far. The last appointment I had with the Gyno/OBGYN we heard the heart beat. For DH it was the first time he heard it. I had heard it when I went for a regular checkup and found out I was PG...LOL
Oh he's also been with me for the sonograms. The only time he wasn't in the room was when I had the amnio done. They made him wait in the waiting area, otherwise he would have stayed in there with me.

Mine too. He hasn't come since my level II since there really isn't anything too exciting right now. But he will be coming with me again when I am in my 30th weeks.

I only bring my DH when I am getting a sonogram so we can both see the baby.
The other appts all they do is my weight and blood pressure so there is no point of bringing him.
I did bring him when we were expecting our first child to hear the heartbeat also.

My DH has been there for every appt and been in the room when they examine me. Now that I get internals, it makes me feel better that he is there because I hate them so much.

Jt only comes w/ me for sonos. I don't think it's necessary for all appts. However, my next sono and appt. are at the same time, so he'll probably go to both.
