I know this has been asked before-BUT would you go back to an old job if....
it meant you would be haoppy, but making a little bit less money?
ETA: I didn't leave this old job because I was unhappy. I left because I got an opportunity to make more money before my wedding.

yes, i have and i would all over again..if ur given an opportunity to do something over again that u first felt u made the wrong choice--its a way to get things right again (does that make sense) LOL

without a doubt.I left a NYS job for better money in my field. I regret ever leaving. yes, i got paid less, but I was so much happier. Unfortunately state agencies will not take you back once you leave (unless you are "connected"), so I could never go back if I wanted too.

Probably not. It's not about the money. People often leave for reasons not related to money otherwise they wouldn't have left. They want career advancement, more flexiblity, better location, etc. If it were me, I'd explore other possibilities before going back.
eta. If the ONLY reason you left was the money, then I'd say go back.

Yes!
In fact I would go back to my old firm in a HEARTBEAT if there was a spot for me. I loved it there, and I didn't leave for $$ reasons OR because I was unhappy -
(I left at the time only because my current boss jumped ship and moved our entire department over to another firm.. and while I like my boss a lot, I hate this firm!)

I would go back for less money if I knew that there was still the potential to grow and make more money in the future. If I would be "stuck" in the same position long term, I would probably look for another job altogether.
