Feeling sorta sad/ overwhlemed

1st off- I had a stupid 8 hr. meeting today....I usually only work 4hr. so being away from the baby all day (and it wasnt even like reg. work where Im socializing having a good time) was HORRIBLE...

I was dreading this meeting all weekend, and am so glad its over...

It was even worse, because DH had off today, and we rarely get a day off together (and when we do a certain someone is demanding we split or only day alone with them)

I was sad leaving this morning, sad during the meeting, and drove like a maniac because I couldnt wait to get home!

Then I get home and Ryan just woke from his nap... So I flew to his room to get him! When he saw me he literally jumped...he was so thrilled... (which made me feel so wonderful!)

However for the rest of the night... NO ONE- could take him from me.... Not DH, and def. not my friend who had stopped by.... Selfishly, I loved every minute of it!

Then I was just sitting here, and decided to watch my montage...and I just cant believe how much time has passed already... I just wanna freeze this time forever!

This love is so overwhelming... I often say: Im obsessed with my son! It truely is amazing.... I wanna stay here forever!

8 hours is hard!! I loved how happy Miranda was when I got home from work Saturday.

I totally get the obsession. I often wonder how I'll love another baby as much as I love her. It just doesn't seem possible.

My friend just had her second baby and I asked her if its just as amazing and she said yes. You just feel that same love and awe all over again. That was reassuring but I've actually changed my TTC plans until after Miranda is 2 instead of 1 because I am just not ready to share myself. I want her to have all of me for a while.

I've felt the same way and I spoke to my MIL about it...Chat Icon I was wondering how you could split yourself and have enough love for both children. I have so much love for Jared, I just don't know if I'd want to share the love with another baby just yet. She said, you just do...you find time for both....but she just wants me to have more kids...Chat Icon

Re: Feeling sorta sad/ overwhlemed

I have to say, when I was preggo with Cassidy, I truly thought that Scotty would always be me favorite and that there was no way I could ever love anything as much as I loved him. I never thought I could possibly have enough love inside me to love another person the way I loved him. THEN...she was born and I swear, it just doubles...immediately!

DH and I were just talking tonight about having another one, and although he's been the one pushing for 1 more he said tonight how he's totally overwhelmed by the love he has and walks around so emotional as it is and he doesn't know if he could handle another...how he'd Chat Icon all dayChat Icon

It is so true how quickly time goes. I'd swear I just had Scotty a couple of years ago, and he just turned 8Chat Icon !!!!!! Enjoy every second!!!!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I told Bill the other day that I was "madly in love" with Emily and I think he thought I was crazy.

It seriously is the most gigantic crazy love I've ever experienced.

Re: Feeling sorta sad/ overwhlemed

I hear you... I'm away from Michael almost 12 hours a day M-F - so I can relate. But the look on his face when I walk in the door can make my heart literally melt! It's tough having to work, but the thing that helps me is saying to myself is that he wouldn't have all that he does if I didn't... and I know it's not forever.

I RARELY give him up on a weekend day - I don't want anyone taking care of him or holding him on my days off, lol - I'm selfish when it comes to my son and personally I don't care! hehe!

I often wonder how I can share my love with other children (if and when I have more), but from what I hear - it's not as hard as it seems!
