Going to pay my own taxes!

I started a thread a while ago asking how to pay my own taxes and not have the mortgage company hold my money.
Well, they got back to me and I am able to do it! They paid for the January payment already so they next one will be May.
Now I can hold the interest, not the mortgage company!

We did this and we are very happy with the decision. We have the money invested, so not only to we keep the interest but we are making money. You have to be very diligent about putting the money away each month, but its worth it. Congrats!

I don't have to worry about that because there would be no difference in saving for my mortgage payment each week or putting some of it aside for the taxes.
Thanks!
