I think I am going to throw up!!!!

I have started to look into toddler programs for next September (yes that is right) since you have to register at the end of November at many places in my neighborhood and I am having a heart attack with the prices I am getting....

Has anyone else started looking into this yet???? I know we have alot of children turning 1 in the next few months....

I live in Syosset and I have looked at :
Midway Jewish Center
Nothshore Synagogue
Woodbury Jewish Center

and the Plainview y ( my last choice because I rather JAcob go to where there are more syosset children are going to be)

Are you only looking into Jewish faith based schooling? What are the prices you are getting?

I am getting prices over 3,000 for 2 days and $over 4 for 3days..

Hi, even though you live in Syosset I have to tell you that I heard wonderful things about the JCC on Manettah Hill Road.

I know the Plainview Y is great., a couple of my friends are sending their children there however when I spoke to them they said the bulk of kids that go there are from Plainview.. with some from Syosset.

It is really important to me even at 2 yrs old that they go to where there will be kids that live in my neighborhood and that go to Syosset schools...

This just sucks that I have to sign him up in november when I don't know what will be happening in a year from now ugghhh..

The stresses we deal with now...

Hill - I just got my brochure for Sid Jacobson so I looked it up since we had just talked about it - for three days a week it's $4500 and that doesn't even include membership!

I will try to ask around for you. I have the same problem. I live in east Meadow and my son goes to twin Oaks for camp and school. Most of the kids from there are from Merrick and Bellmore so he will not know to many kids when school starts. To top it off East Meadow doesnt have full day kindergarten so I will probably have to send Sammy to Twin Oaks for Kindergarten .

I live in the same area as you and also looked at those places. I ended up going with Miss Sue's in Plainview ($570 per month for 3 3-hour days). The prices are outrageous but I needed an afternoon program that ended later than 2:45 pm and Miss Sues runs 1-4 pm.

DD is 2 and I am not thrilled about sending a 2-year-old to pre-school but it seems to be the norm here.
