Why do people come into the office with
contagious illnesses? I just got out of a closed door meeting with my director - who tells me as I'm walking out that she's leaving in 10 minutes because she has strep and needs to pick up her prescription. WHAT??? Isn't strep very contagious? She doesn't know I'm PG, but that shouldn't matter. I just pray I don't get it. What happens if I do?

I hate when people do this too. Keep your germs at home... the work will still be there when you come back. 
Other than making you feel miserable if you get it, I don't think having strep has any affect on the baby.
I hope you don't get it!

TOATLLY AGREE! But I actually thought inside this post it was gonna read "SMELLY FOOD"
I cant take the smells in this office anymore!
And yes, I agree STAY HOME IF YOUR SICK!

I agree...if you are sick, you should stay home. My bosses never care if you are sick, they expect you to come in anyway
But the moment they have a cough or a tiny sniffle, the whole office has to know about it.

I agree with you. People should stay home if they are sick. If you end up getting strep, a course of antibiotics (which are safe for the baby) will clear it up pretty quickly. But, you may not even get it.

My patients do this to me all of the time. I used freeze their asses out with an open window while I was perggo and blame it on raging hormones.........LYSOL!!!!
