SIL vent- sorry long...
I have not gotten along with my BIL fiance since we met but I really try to make an effort. On Valentine's day they called asking to come over with their two dogs to our very small condo to spend the evening and I told my DH to tell them no. I have a severe sinus infection and my doctor told me to avoid dust, dander and all pets for the duration. So I call her today to ask them out to dinner and apologize for not being able to have them over since I was so sick and explained why. She basically told me that was rediculous when I told her what the doctor said and that she had only one cold her whole pregnancy. I explained that everyone is different and since I had sinus problems already it was aggreviated by the pregnancy. So basically she believes I blew them off to spend Valentine's day with husband alone(gee- our first as a married couple-). She just gets me so annoyed- with her little comments. No matter how hard I try- I feel as if everything I do makes these people angry or is misunderstood- grrrr.....
Thanks for letting me vent- she just makes me nuts!

I think you have every right NOT to have company over even if you were feeling ok. What is wrong with people? I wouldn't let her get to you. Let her see that you aren't bothered by her little remarks and that will bug her even more.
I've also had a bad sinus infection for over two weeks and I know how you are feeling.
I finally went to the dr for antibiotics. I wasn't able to sleep because of it. Feel better and ignore the rude people!

What would make people think it is okay to invite themselves AND THEIR DOGS to another person's house on Valentine's Day??? She is the one who is ridiculous. Don't let her make you feel bad.

I agree 100%. Its nuts. This girl just seems a little to self absorbed!!  Your poor BIL. He's going to have to live wiht her
