When did you start the nursery?

I am wondering when all of you started getting the nursery together? We have to clean out our guest room (aka the room that things go to when they have no place else to live). It is not going to be easy to live without our spare room so we are starting to consider getting the attic finished.

I am most likely going to start the project in May, since that is the earliest we would get "the call". Plus I need to move the crib out of Molly's room and transition her to her new toddler bed. Plus get her new furniture in and get her used to the baby's room having "her" stuff.

I am looking at cribs, getting ideas, but haven't fully started. I want to take my time and enjoy the process.

We just went this weekend and purchased all our baby furniture and a bedding set and spent a small fortune! The furniture will take about 12 weeks to come so we have some time to paint and decorate. So now I'm playing with paint colors.

ooohhh did you guys go to Behrs?? How was the experience? What did you get??? I want to see and enjoy your excitement!!! We didn't go this weekend, I am not ready for the purchase yet, but I am HAPPY FOR YOU! Yeah!!! Shouldn't you be traveling soon??

Behr's was great. Very friendly and I didn't find them pushy at all. There are so many choices though it is overwhelming. I wasn't planning on getting the bedding there but I knew what I wanted and it was the same price on the internet so I figured, hey why not and they had a 10% discount sale.

No we are no where near traveling yet : (. China has seemed to slow down and I'm still about 6 months out. I'm just hoping to be home by Christmas at this point.

You should definately go look. It's so much fun!!

Karen, that set and furniture are SO beautiful! How Exciting! Joe & I are almost finished with our nursery. We just ordered a Korean flag to hang up in there too! Here are our pix so far. We're probably going to have to take the mobile down depending on how old the baby is (and whether or not s/he's sitting.)

I love the pink, I am doing the pendant chandalier (saw that in a little shop in Sayville) and I already have the wicker chair, did Behr's have small themed like throw rugs?

Just spoke to DH, we are going to Behr's on Sunday--but I am only going to get 2 pieces, a crib and amoir or dresser.

I would love to do a pendant chandalier also but our ceilings are too low and we'd be hitting our heads.

I didn't see any area rugs but honestly I wasn't looking. You should check online at the nursery stores like nurserydepot or babysupermall. They have everything.

We also are putting in french doors, we saw them at lowes on Sunday, but they were out of them, so we are waiting for the next delivery!

Oh so adorable!!! We are still in the process of cleaning out our office... I can't wait for our nursery to be started!
