Apple picking near commack

Anyone know of a place to go apple picking, or pair picking, or picking whatever is in season now. I just want to spend some time outside and we'll be out in commack this weekend.

TIA!!

Thanks Red.

It doesn't have to be in Commack- it could be within a 20-30 mile radius.

There's an orchard on Pulaski Road right before Bread & Cheese Hollow Road on the West side. I don't know the name of it but it's there. If you are heading East on Pulaski, it's after Old Bridge Road and the next light with the turnoff to the shelter...It will be on your left hand side.

Richter's ---- I don't think it's 'u-pick'.

They DO sell bushels though.

I think the Fort salonga orchard allows picking?

Why not go to one of the parks in the area like West Hills in Huntington and there is one on Harned Road in Commack that has a farm...the name esapes me at the moment.

You can also go out east to the North Fork...nice drive and there are plenty of places to stop.
