Is anyone else just starting an IVF cycle?
I was supposed to begin Lupron and Dex. on SUnday but I was away so I started yesterday. Just wondering if anyone else is on the same cycle as me so we can remind each other what to do, lol!!

Im a little bit behind ya I guess. I started BCP's yesterday, but Im on a flare protocol which means I dont start Lupron until I start to stim, very low amounts of lupron.
Seems like we are somewhat around the same page and We are gonna be the next graduates right KAra?

LOL the next graduate as far as I can tell will be Leighla, then Newcomer, then me, then you.....and I don't know where anyone else is at right now so I can't say! But hopefully yes, we follow in T's and BigB's footsteps!!
Not to mention Sharon, Diane, Shamrock, MrsJ, Luvsun, FeliciaDA, and all the other wonderful graduates who have shown us that YES it CAN happen!!

I have my first consult this Thursday. But let me get this straight you have to be on Lupron first? I've been on that before for about 6 months. Why do they need you to stop ovulation first for IVF? I'll get all this Thursday but I'm just curious now after reading this post.

the Birth control and lupron shuts down your cycle so that it can be prepared for the heavy stim meds to come, it will dissolve any cysts you may have etc....Kinda gives you a clean slate so to speak.
