Need help for a friend? (personal)
I have a friend who is recently divorced and back on the dating scene. She has been out of the dating loop for awhile and was asking me (who has been out of the loop even longer) for some sex advice. She met a great guy and is ready to do  She wanted to know how to approach the subject of diseases and if he has been tested. I really didn't have an answer for her, other than just asking. So does anyone have any advice on how to delicately approach this subject without ruining the mood or feeling awkward? Or did you have a conversation about this prior? I feel if you are using a condom no need to really ask anything, but that could be ignorant on my part. Any advice would be appreciated?

I would ask prior...
but it think the conversation should come up if you use a condom or not..
IMO if you are close enough to sleep with, you should be close enough to ask

honestly i would just bring up the subject over dinner, its not something to be embarrassed to ask someone. when it concerns your body and health, its important to get answers. in these times it could really be a matter of life and death. i know back in college when i was dating, i had no problem asking guys if they were ever tested for sexually transmitted diseases. and i always insisted on condom use. its not an easy thing to bring up, but it has to be. so basically over dinner, i would just say, "im sure you have thought about taking this relationship to another level, cause i know i have, and i just need to ask some important questions, have you ever been tested?" and so on.
