My doctors office just screwed me over

Need to vent.....I was supposed to go have an ultrascreen today. I was really looking forward to it because it was DH's first appointment. I slep at my moms last night b/c we are having work done at my house. Dh was going to meet me here for the appointment. Well he gets a call this morning an hour before the appointment and they are looking for me regarding the appointment. So he gives them my cell #. But I didn't have it on yet. They left me a message to call them. DH calls me and tells me to call them. So I call them and the machine picks up. So I had no way to get in touch with them so DH drives the 20 minutes from home to meet me. We go to the office and they tell me they can't do it they don't know who scheduled the appt for that day. Now DH is flipping out. He thinks they are so unprofessional. They never tried calling me back and why couldnt they just tell him they had to reschedule? He is so discusted he never wants to go there again. And to top it all off I woke up with a really bad headache.

Well - shouldn't they have noticed that before they looked at the schedule for today?
What are they saying there is no tech there on a Saturday????

Yep they said there is no one there saturday. That is exactly my point. They try calling me an hour before my appointment to tell me. And then they dont even try calling me again and dont answer the phone when I call. I am so aggravated plus I don't even want to deal with DH later. He is fuming.

I don't blame you - perhaps they have a smaller staff on sats though and it was an oversight - how do you feel about the dr? would you be willing to swtich - is there another dr you want to try or are they worth a 2nd shot?? Its frustrating but think about it once you both are feeling better......

ps - they should have at least apologized profusely (and maybe thrown in a free month of prenatsl or something just kidding!)

Well that is what DH said. He wanted me to switch doctors. But I thought about it and its not the doctors fault. They don't schedule the appointments. Its the secretaries. I'm just very emotional today. I cried like three times with that and then over something else lol. My family is very supportive though. They know how to calm me down.

I know when I came home form ine I was so worked up still....it slike the adrenaline and all of wanint gto make sure the baby is ok...and to have to wait is so unfair.....try to plan somehting fun or funny to do tonight!!!

ps - i didn't mean to post anything mean before, did I by accident? (if so - I am so sorry....I was kind of rambling on....a few viewpoints or things to consider I guess....it was my mind "working"!!!!)

this is why i always call to confirm appointments a day or two ahead.

the one time i didn't, i got there at 8:20 AM and they told me i wasn't on the schedule (i didn't have the card they wrote the appointment on either). they didn't bat an eye and just squeezed me in! i was lucky that day...
