Why do cars always have to be rushed to the mechanics at the most inconvenient time

Last week I drove the truck into a ditch. I was not hurt. This happened on my home from work and my guardian angel sure watched over me because it happened a block from the house

So after getting the great SUV with 4 wheel drive out of about 4 feet of mud and ick the next day it gets towed to the mechanics. 5 days later, a rental car paid for by the mechanics and $1100 I finally get to pick up my car tomorrow

Turns out the whole timing belt and everything with it was no longer any good which caused the water pump to burst which caused the water to go all over the radiator, the car to overheat and also have to have some hoses replaced.

This has happened at the worst time

Ugh, there's never a good time! I am glad you were ok.

Last year there were TWO occasions where I had a problem with my car and on the way to picking me up DH's car broke down too! We should have bought lottery tickets! What are the chances?

Ugh! It seems like everything happens at once too so you have to drop a bundle! Glad to hear you're okay at least!

I feel your pain!!!
Last yr on NEW YEARS EVE- we are having new years here at the house, I go to start the car cause I need stuff for the party and my car starts making this aweful popping sound from the engine!!!!! Road side had to come and pick up my car, DH had to leave work so I can get what we needed- what a HELL day that was!!!!!
