Okay - I had a DAY

Just have to rant because it was one of those days where everything just goes wrong...

Starts off with me having almost no sleep due to DH's snoring...

Then I get on the road to go to school and as soon as i pass the exit (the last one for 8 miles) traffic stops. Ends up there's an overturned tractor trailer. Luckily since I'm in the boonies where nobody lives, this only causes about 20 mintues of traffic... So now, I'm 5 minutes late for work...

I get in, my kids are asking me 400000000 questions, and I still haven't even put my things down. Right after I bring the kids to special, I have to run to a meeting about testing procedures...

So I'm slightly off since I've had NO time to organize, and then at 11, I get an e-mail saying that they can't print report cards because I haven't varified them. So in my rush to get this done, but big butt knocks over my little wooden calendar dealie.

So, I frantically do that, and then try to get my kids back on task. Luckily they won extra recess last month, so at least they went out with the principal for 15 minutes. So I had 15 minutes of peace..

So I make it through lunch realitively unharmed... until social studies when i start rambling to my class about lord knows what - i don't even know what i was saying

Then later, I realized I forgot to make photocopies of this sheet, so i get my neighbor to just keep an eye on my class while I run to the copier, and guess what IT'S NOT WORKING.

Luckily, my class mom randomly showed up and offered to take it to the office copier and make the copies for me. Meanwhile, in the chaos, I knock my knee against my desk.

And, to top it all off I had to stay late for a PTO meeting.

So, let's just say I had a day

I'm just going to curl up in bed and forget this ever happend

Only at a school could you have a day like that- my whole week has felt like that so you have my sympathies

At least you didn't have four of your students brought back to school by the police after being caught smoking marijuana in their car, causing a high speed chase where they abandoned the vehicle and entered a restaurtant where they had to be taken down. NOW THAT was a fun conversation with four sets of parents!
