Peapod Food Service
Not sure if anyone has used this service yet. It's new to Kings Park area and I've used it 3 times and I have to say I love it!!!!!! It is so convenient and it only costs $6.00.

Keep checking it because as soon as it does arrive there. DO IT!!!! You can't believe how awesome it is. They bring the food into your kitchen for you. I ordered it last week on that pouring rain day....so awesome.
Once I had two kids, and since my husband works alot, there was no way I was going to bring 2 kids to the supermarket and I found out it started in my area. I was psyched.

I love it!! I just started using it this month -- they have a much better selection then Fresh Direct & better sales.
The only weird thing was I ordered a package of ground beef the other day and it was out of stock. I thought that was an odd thing to not have.

That's funny you say that. I ordered eggs and garlic and they were out of stock of that. I called them and complained about it because that's a very strange item to be w/o. She said it's probably because the warehouse is 1/2 the size of the supermarket. I'm sure it's all supply and demand.

Do you get the sales prices? For example if a 12pk of Coke is on sale for 4 for $10 can you get that if you peapod?

If it's on sale at Stop & Shop, then yes you get the price. What's also nice is they send you a welcome package w/$5.00 off your first 5 orders.
I'm purchased fruit, cold cuts, etc and everything is fresh and packaged nicely (like fruit comes in a plastic container).
They also accept coupons. (They adjust your bill after you give them the coupons).

they always have sales..like yesterday they had 10 cokes for $ 10
The good thing is they have the unit price like for toilet paper they tell youfor example $.10 per square foot so you could really comparison shop.

I used it in the Winter when I was working so much that I couldn't get to the supermarket. I thought the selection was very limited and I actually prefer browsing the aisles.
I did think the quality of the fruit and meat they delivered was excellent and the service was great.

I think the tip also depends on your order.
I love the fact that you can order water, detergent, all heavy items, AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO CARRY IT. I certainly don't miss lugging all the groceries in the house.
Now all I need to do is get someone to carry and do my laundry!!!!!!!!!!
