need a new female ob/gyn...
Hi ladies. i need a new gyn and hope you can help. i have had too many bad experiences where i go now and need to change.
Can anyone reccomend their female ob/gyn? and tell me what hospital they are affiliated with?
I am in Nassau on the North Shore.

Dr. Hanauer in Garden City is the best. she is affiliated with Winthrop Hospital.

She's my dr. too and i totally love her!!! I mentioned to her yesterday at my appt how she's getting a lot of great press from this board and she said that her new patient list is definitely growing. She loved hearing all the positive feedback!!!!

I just made an appointment with Dr. Hanauer also. I'm excited and can't wait to meet with her. Thanks to everyone for referring her!

The wait was bad before anyone knew about her. I was going to her and now that she has all these new patients I am sure it is worse. I always got the last appt on her late night when I was pregnant. It was late!
Wouldn't ever switch! She is worth the wait!

Oh no really? I hate waiting for hours (I guess I can just bring a good book or something.) That was the reason I originally switched doctors. Maybe I'll try and make one of the first appointments in the morning. My last gyno I swear I would wait for up to THREE hours.

She never rushes you that is why. I never waited three hours though. I would get the last appt at night so every other appt during the day would get backed up because she spends alot of time with you.

I used to see Dr. Ostroff at 410 Lakeville Rd in New Hyde Park. She was great. Her staff is all female, it was a very nice environment. I don't go there anymore only bc I live in NJ now. I don't have the # though...sorry!

I go to Dr. Putterman on Stewart Ave in Garden City. The whole office comes highly reccommended.
