Transitioning from Bassinet to Crib

Kevin has pretty much outgrown his bassinet and now we have to transition him to his crib. I've been bad about where he takes a nap...bouncy seat, couch, swing so he pretty much has never slept in his crib yet.

Any tips on how to make this transition easier?

I guess I would start with naps in the crib. That's what we are doing now.

Does he sleep on just the bassinet, or is there something specific in there like a sleeping mat or a positioner. If you have a sleeping mat or something along those lines, it eases the transition if you put that in the crib, because it's something familiar. Not sure the exact name, but this is what I'm referring to by "sleeping mat":

Nope, he just sleeps on the bassinet mattress.

I guess we'll try starting with naps in the crib and then move up to nighttime.
