Extra Amniotic Fluid??
Hi Ladies,
My friend (cantbelieveit) just got a call from the dr and they said that in the sono she had yesterday that the amniotic fluid levels were high. What does that mean? She is 39w 3d. They told her to come back on Monday instead of thursday for another sono?
Please help put her mind at ease.

I am pretty sure if it gets to high they will induce her. Does she have GD?

This happened to my SIL, but much earlier, around 20 weeks.
She had to change her diet and cut out carbs. The level had gone back to normal.

Thanks girls. As far as I know, I don't have GD. Of course researching this makes me nervous, but it seems like after the 2nd trimester things should be ok. However, if it happens early, could mean kidney, nervous system, or chromosomal problems. If anyone knows of someone who had this later on in pregnancy and baby was ok, please post to make me feel better thanks.
