question for the teachers--NYSUT course...

I'm taking my first course through NYSUT in a couple weeks. It's the Multiple Intelligences course wtih Judith Burnstein (I think...anyone take her before?).

In general, do you know if I'll need to buy the textbook mentioned in the course description? If I have to I will...through half.com not NYSUT.

I took two courses through NYSUT, and in both cases the book was provided to us. I think it was factored into the fee. I know we didn't pay for the books separately.


Wish I remembered the name of the woman who taught my course- she was amazing! I think it's an interesting topic in general and you'll probably enjoy it.

I thought that the book might be included but the confirmation email I just got had a line at the bottom that said: "Students must have the required text by the first class meeting. To view required textbook information, login, and select "Text
book Information"."

I took two NYSUT last summer and one we had to order the book ourselves.

I know all teachers are different, but in this class we did a lot of group reading, presenting the chapters to the class on chart paper, so I would say buy the book.
