Wait...why did he say that. You are eligible for disability if you are pregnant. All they need to do is check with your doctor. Do you have a HR person to contact or is your company very small???

My company is huge and worldwide. I have been with the company for 5 years and then went down to part time for 2 months then back to full in January. She said I will not be back up to full long enoughChat Icon

The pay out is minimal anyway but it's just the principalChat Icon

That's strange, my girlfriend works part time (20 hrs/week) for a company that's pretty small, but large enough for FMLA and she's getting disability when she goes out to have her baby. She doesn't qualify for FMLA.

I don't qualify for FMLA either because I went down to part time and have not been up to full time long enough but they are keeping a position open for me (or so they say). Chat Icon

Maybe my OB will be able to help meChat Icon

Disability is a company program so I'm not sure what the rules are of your program.
But FMLA is a law - and if you worked 1250 in the past 12 months you are eligible. They can't tell you you're not. FMLA says you can take 12 weeks unpaid and still have a job when you get back. FM me if you have anymore questions - this is what I do for a living.

Check your paycheck. If they are deducting for disability, I don't think they can deny you. I believe it's money that comes from the state -- not from your employer.
