Just found out DH will be home tomorrow 
We did the Bronx Zoo last month and did pumpkin picking, petting zoo all last weekend.
Any Other ideas?? DS is almost 4.

children's museam, museam of natural history, gingerbread univerity, build a bear and lunch at friendlys, dinosaur museam in riverhead, aquarium in riverhead, (sorry i don't know where you live so i'm picking random places my kids like) fun for all, chuck e cheeses?

the gingerbread university is a place on sound avenue towards wading river right by lobster roll. THey give you a made up gingerbread house and the kids get to decorate it with their candies and icing and stuff. my kids love this place. this time of year they make spook houses.

Thanks Kristi! We are in Queens so some of those places are a little too far but great suggestions!
Are there lots of things for the kiddies at oyster fest?

Not a lot of things for the kids to do at Oyster Festival - mainly crafts, food & drinking from what I remember.
What about the Long Island Children's Museum? The NY Aquarium? Museum of Natural History's Lizards & Snake Exhibit? The Intrepid (while it's still at the pier)?

There is a Harvest Fair at a school in Floral Park It's free to get in & they will have a train & a bouncy castle. I have never been but, we will be there. It's from noon to 4pm
