OMG!!! My real-life version of the Oprah Bra Size episode!!! LOL
I went to Victoria's Secret to get sized because I KNOW I've been wearing the wrong size!! I've gained weight, I'm trying to lose - and, well, the cup runeth over!! sorry if TMI!!
So, the girl at VS measures me and tells me that I am a cup size SMALLER than what I have been wearing and that my band size that I am currently wearing is THREE SIZES TOO SMALL!!!!
OK - I know I've gained weight - but that's unbelievable to me!!! She said I could always play around and see what fits the best and prob go down a band size but...

Honestly, I would go to a corsetierre and get measured. Those girls in VS don't always know what they are talking about!

I knew that what I was wearing wasn't right, but I didn't expect things to be THAT off!! THe only reason I don't want to go to a corset store is because I don't want to buy my bras there, but there's one close to work (Ruth's in Merrick) so mabe I'll go.

Did you try on the size she was telling you you are? I personally think VS runs EXTREMELY small. I am 1 size in bra's I buy from bloomingdales and an entirely other size in that store....
I say go to a specialty store like Mary Leaners and get sized... the 18 year olds in VS are clueless....

Seriously.. don't let it make you feel bad.. VS runs SUPER small!! I bet you'll have better luck at a corset store...
I need new bras so so bad... but I am #1 scared to see what size I woudl be, and #2 can't find any I love! they discountinued my FAVORITE one!!!

Kohl's has, in my opinion, a great lingerie dept. They have such an extensive selection of bras in all the brands! They are having a big sale tomorrow and all the bras are 50% off - which is why I went to get fitted - so I could buy new bras there!

YES! They def. do have an incredible selection... but I feel like I am over-whelmed when I go there... I don't know what to take!

Well - since they don't hawk the number of things you're allowed to take into the dressing room, you can take as many as you want!!! I think that's what I might do - go in there with a zillion different bras and not come out until I've found something!!

I've actually done that... had to take a wagon because I couldn't carry them all... Then I got so flustered in the dressing room I walked out with NADA!
I have no patience though... so it was prob just me.

I agree.
I got measured at VS b/c I was uncomfortable and was measured as a 36B- I bought the bras thinking, "maybe I am crazy, I know these will still be uncomfortable, but if that is my size".
Well I went to a corsetierre and I am a C cup and now SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE!!
But don't worry- you aren't alone, most women wear the wrong size.
