MIL VENT LONG

Ok now my mil lives upstate so she complains that she doesn't get to see her grand daughter that often but when she comes down to the city she is never around she is constantly running to bingo so she will spend maybe 15 mintues with the baby and thats it.

Well here is where I start the vent she has been down for a week and has not once came over to see her grand daughter. Now this is ok cuz marissa is supose to go upstate with her and FH stepdad for a few days. Well she was supose to go back home with FH yesterday and she made a big deal about it that she was going to be squashed in the car and she isn't going. She is going to stay and wait for the van to get fixed. So FH asked her if she could watch marissa for a few hours until I get home cuz he still had to go upstate. Get this she said well it depends on what time Jenn gets home cuz I have to go to bingo. Excuse me but this i s your grand daughter and I think you can skip bingo for one nite and spend the time with your grad daughter that you never see. Well FH told her that I will be home around 6 and she says well she better be cuz I need to be out of here around 6:15 to make bingo. She has some nerve so When I found this out I purposely took my time getting home and I walked in the door at 6:20 as soon as I walked in the door the she says oh your home good I have to leave for bing o I hope I can still make it . Then she says who is watching the baby the rest of the week I said tomorrow I have a babysitter coming but friday I have no clue I might just bring her to work with me she says oh ok at least you have it all under control. Well I gotta go to bingo and walks out.
I am sure there is gonna be moe drama later on since she is staying here for a few more days.

Am I wrong for being mad at her

I have to say I would be very disappointed in her that she doesn't have more of an interest in her grand daughter and bingo seems more important. I would hope that because she doesn't see her often she would be more then happy to babysit and spend time with her. I dont think you can change her so you will have to take her for what she is, but if it were me, I dont know if I would feel comfortable letting her watch my child upstate if I wasn't around. JMO

well I told FH that I didn't want her to go now and he said we will discuss it and I told him ther is no discussion I don't want her to go with out you or I there cuz there is no reason for your mother to have our daughter for a few days when she has no interested in her when she is here
