Need ideas on what to get my mom...
Her Birthday is this sunday and I still have to get her gift. What do I get a woman that already has everything?
She is your basic old fashioned traditional Italian mother...can anyone help me out with some ideas please...

Take her out somewhere .... Old Westbury Gardens, a winery, Bowling...something she likes to do but doesn't do often. Moms love when you spend time with them!! (IMO)

Yeah but like I said, she is old fashioned and doesn't go bowling, or to the movies, etc. etc. Taking her out to eat is a not an option because she is impossible. No matter what she will sit and find something wrong with the food and criticize it all night. Errrrrr!
I was thinking of getting her a gift card to Macy's and taking her shopping. But right now I am soooooo busy on the weekends and by the time I get some free time it will be in early December and then the crowds will be there for the holiday season...
I don't know...

DH's mom is like that. She will do anything and go anywhere. So easy to shop for...my mom? forget it...have to rack my brain all the time and best part is then I have to rack my brain again on what to get her 2 months later for christmas!

DH's mom never needs or wants anything which is sooo hard cause she is so sweet that we WANT to get her something. My SIL found the magic answer - Willams-Sonoma. She loves to cook so all the gadgets and cookware are perfect for her. Maybe you could get her something from there?

A gift certificate to a spa?
I got her that this summer before she went to Italy, it was a gift certificate for a pedicure. Maybe this time I could get her a GC for a full spa pedicure and manicure.

Grandchildren..oh wait that's my mom & she's jewish, not Italian .
William Sonoma is a good bet. Dom Deluise's cookbook is great for Italian moms too.
