kitty litter
Not sure if this has been asked already...I have two indoor cats. Do I really need to worry about cleaning the litter?

Re: kitty litter
yes. there is something called toxoplasmosis (sp?) which can be harmful to the baby if inhaled while cleaning the litter. Can your DH do it?

Re: kitty litter
Yes but not super worried according to my doctor.
According to him, If they are EXCLUSIVELY indoor cats the chance that they have toxoplasmosis is very low. If they go outside at all or have come in contact with cats that go outside the chances they have it increase.
If you HAVE to change the litter, wear gloves and a face mask.
You can also have your cats tested to see if they have toxoplasmosis. I don't think the test super expensive.
There is also a test for you to check to see if you have been infected. If you've had cats all your life you may have developed an immunity to it but I'm not sure if the immunity passes to your unborn child.
