I hope to make friends and find advice n certain issues....I like it when I'm feeling alone and down because there is someone tht can always help.
The fashion advice is great too since I'm so clueless.
What I actually get....mostly day to day advice, I find it hard to open up to people. There are a few that I feel actually "care" about me.

Good question...
What I hope to get is to form true lasting friendships though I don't know quite how it turned into that since I just started out on LIW looking for wedding planning ideas!
What I actually get... A place to vent about family, in-laws, DH; a group of people who are in my exact situation (recently married, new baby, homeowners, close in age, etc) to empathize with, get advice from, and chat with about the things that are relevant to us in this stage in our lives; great advice from BTDT moms, and those friendships...well...I think I might be on the way.

While I don't think I'll ever make friends face to face, (I never go to any of the GTGs), I know that I have "friends" here on this website. I just hope to get advice on all the different aspects of my life, whether it's family drama or questions about my son. I also like to help others, so I like to give advice as well as receive it.
I don't think I could ever leave...it's like my home away from home...

Since I dont have friends or family close by ...I like the conversation with other adults , I have met some really nice people........I also like the fact that I can get non biased opinions and advice. I also like to laugh and just chat

I love the fact that someone can ask ANYTHING, and someone else has an answer.
That said, I like the chitchat...the entertainment....the honest, unbiased advice....the support system, etc.

Pretty much the same as everyone else posted...
A place to vent, to help out others that were in the same place as me as a new mom, working mom, etc. I hadn't intended on meeting people when I first joined but went to a few of the GTGs and met some people I could see myself becoming good friends with...
