Did anyone see the Dave Chappelle interview last week on Oprah?
Is it just me or does he still seem crazy? He seemed "out of it" on the show...

Yeah,me and Dh watched it and he was not making any sense AT ALL. He really did seem kinda "out of it." Almost like he was hiding something or keeping stuff in. He was also on "Inside The Actors Studio" last night or the night before....his behavior was SO ODD!
I am such a huge fan of his and its disappointing to see him this way.....

Yeah I watched it and I think there is a lot of stuff w/ the network that may be going on that he may not be allowed to talk about. I think Chapelle has to be nutty to come up w/ all the stuff he comes up with. I think a big part of his whole ordeal was the "sell out" issue. I think he felt like he sold many people out.

I saw the Actors Studio interview and I liked it a lot. I don't think he was odd, I think he is just struggling with how famous he has become so suddenly and dealing with the value system of Hollywood, which may not mesh with the one he is trying to use to guide his life now.
As Sonia said, I think he alluded to a lot, rather than say things outright, so there wouldn't be a lot of backlash.

I saw him in the city at Carolines a few years back and let me tell you he has some issues. First off he was the headliner and showed up over an hour late so the poor guy before him (who is on the office now) actually had to do improv. Then he showed up and was either completely drunk or crazy becaue he was making no sense. We were so disappointed.
Then when i watched Oprah i kept going he's not answering these questions!! It was driving me crazy.

I have to watch the whole Actors Studio...I dvr'd it....maybe I will watch it tonight....
I hope he's not crazy! I really like him and think he is one of the funniest comedians I have come across in a long time!
