has anyone gotten their new tax bill yet?

we bought our house in august and the prior owners name still shows up on the town website...Should i be concerned?
Do you think they are just waiting to change the names when the new tax bill comes in?

If I'm not mistaken, we didn't get our first tax bill until a few months ago for our house which we bought September 2004. I'm pretty sure that was what it was. It had been sent to the previous owner and they had forwarded it to us (they very likely took a long time b/c they were slackers.) It might be that it'll get sent to the old owners new address (forwarded to them by the post office maybe?) which is what happened to us.

Call the town you live in and they'll send you a short form to fill out indicating that you are the new owners and send it back to them. This is what I recenty did. Worse comes to worse, it will get forwarded to the previous owner and then forwarded to you.
