I've heard that even the hpt's from the dollar store are good to go with. It's protocol to test the day after you've missed your period but depending on the amount of hcg hormone you have (assuming there is some being made) then it's possible to get a neg. result up to weeks 9-12! I'm 2 weeks late and have gotten 5 negatives! Only a blood test will show for sure though, so if you don't start and it comes up neg, then see your dr for a blood test. Good luck!
